Met up with the Conniston lots in Wagamama Noodle Bar in Bull Ring, Birmingham. Haven't seen any of them since I got pregnant, so its a bit of a shocked to them to see me "gained" a bit of weight...hehehe

Went To Rod's (Steve's Dad) to celebrate his 60th Bday Party. The party was combined for Dot's (Julie's mum) and Alex's (Steve's nephew) birthday. Had great fun and food!!

Nadia and fiance, Pres came to visit me at home on hari raya. Really made my day. Pres made beef rendang, kuah kacang and nasi impit...mmm nice! Thanks guys..... really appreciate it!

1st Wedding Anniversary (18 and 19 September)

Time has gone by very quickly since our wedding day in Malaysia. A lot has happened since then, from working part time, renovating the lounge, writing up my PhD and conceiving our baby girl. To cherished one year that we had spent together as husband and wife, we booked a weekend break to Peak District.
On sunday the 18/9, we went to Chatsworth House in Chatsworth to view the wonderfully landscaped gardens with cascading water, squirting willow tree (fake!!), rock gardens, the maze and many more. We had a great time walking and enjoying the lovely view. Plus it is very good for me to have a gentle walk and to breathe the fresh air of english countryside. 
On Monday the 19/9, we drove to matlock bath where Heights of Abraham is located. Basically it was a trip to a hilltop(Heights of Abraham)by cable car to have a better view of the stunning valleys and woodlands of the Peak District. The funny thing was Steve is not a big fan of heights, so he wasn't too impressed with the view from within the cable car.hehehe....It was a great relaxing trip and what a lovely way to enjoy our wedding anniversary.

Never thought will do carbooting, but thanks to my sis-in-law (Sarah) we managed to convinced ourselves that other people will be interested in things that we don't need anymore..and she's right!!Managed to get rid of our old stuffs and made good money out of it...hooray!! it is a good fun..woke up at six and spent about 6 hours seeling goods....steve still ca't believe that we made quite a good profit...hehehe

Celebration In Stratford

Went through my PhD Viva Voce (Oral Examination) on the 18th of August(thursday) and Alhamdulillah I have successfully defended my thesis...phew!! It was tough!! All 3 and 1/2 hours of it. Decided to meet up with a few friends on Saturday (20th August) for a nice meal to kind of celebrate my ordeal and Steve's Birthday....he is only 32, still young and energetic 
Met up with nelda + hubby(my friend from A-level in leicester) and Teri +hubby+daughter (my buddy from MRSM Serting and throughout A-level and first degree).
Nel and Teri..thank you for a lovely day out...
